I've Been Gone For A Few But Now I'm Back!!!
Things have been so crazy these past couple of months, not that i have a whole bunch of follwers yet, but i feel i shoul post. I've been getting the hang of taking care of my hair, my regimen and all that good stuff. I believe i found my staple style during my transistion. I was doing the Curly Nikki Twist N Curl, but it would work for like 1 day!!!! Then i came across Lalia, who did a modifeid Twist N Curl, it looks soooo good on her, so i decided to give it a try. I didnt give up on Nikki's TNC but the Modified TNC is too cute! So i did it last night, and it came out pretty good. I like it and received a lot of compliments so far. But its raining, a lot of fog and very humid outside today so i wont take a pic yet. But i will do it again for the weekend and will post pics!

Newbie Natural
TGIW!!!!!
This is my blog and I am new to this...LOL.... Just want everyone to know a lil something about me. My name is Ebcenia (Eb-cena) but all my friends call me Cenia. Always had a head full of hair unlike my family. My mom is African-American, they all have that kinda of hair that never goes pass their shoulders. Well my father is Italian so that gave me a lot of hair!!! I used to cry all the time when my mom braided or put barretts in my hair. Those were the only styles for me back in the late 80's and throughout the 90's. LOL. I wish my mom knew back then what i know now! My mom let me get my first relaxer when i was 12! Ohhhh....it was the best thing that ever happened to me! My hair reached my elbows...everyone in my family was so jealous!
But then, i just have to have my hair straight like evryone else. For 10 years i got relaxers about twice a year, plus tons of heat equals damaged hair!!! It wasnt until my 22nd birthday i told myself that relaxers are overrated and i was just going to get wash-n-sets. At that time i didnt relaize i was going natural. It wasnt until about May of 2010 i started to do my research and came across the beautiful http://www.curlynikki.com/ website that gave me the inspiration to go natural. I trust her site 100%!!! I started to do my twist-n-curls, the first few times i didn't come out the way i liked it, but now I'm a pro! I am a long time transistioner. Its been 1 year and a half. Im scared to cut off the relaxed hair, but im getting there. Only my immediate family knows that i went natural. I have been so busy the past few months i haven't seen any of my friends to get a response. I also haven't uploaded any recent pics on FaceBook either so no one really knows. I'm not afraid of what people will think or say, i feel positive about my hair. I know from some people i will get the "What are you doing to your hair? You need to go straighten that mess out!". Not worried about that at all.
